About Us

History

Hot Jazz Jubilee Inc. began in 2013 in Rancho Cordova as a fun way to mark the end of summer. In 2015, needing more space, the festival moved to the Arden area of Sacramento to the Doubletree by Hilton. The festival has continued to grow and thrive, and recently revised its mission to place more emphasis  on youth music education.

Governance

A California Non-Profit corporation, Hot Jazz Jubilee is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Currently comprised of nine directors, the Board oversees management of the festival through a designated Board Liaison, and is ultimately responsible for the event’s artistic, legal and fiscal management.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Hot Jazz Jubilee is to produce an annual community event to promote early jazz and other music genres to the public, to use event profits to provide scholarships and other educational opportunities for promising young musicians, and to work collaboratively with local and regional individuals and organizations to accomplish its mission.
